Signed Tom Brady Super Bowl LI Helmet Fundraiser

Constantine Salce

Constantine is the 9 year old son of Correctional Officer Dominic Salce and his wife Lu.  Constantine was born with the genetic disorder Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA).  SMA is a genetic disease affecting the part of the nervous system that controls voluntary muscle movement.  This requires Constantine to be confined to a wheelchair full time.

The state of New Hampshire will only provide grants for a family's transportation needs if a child is both physically and cognitively handicapped, however Constantine does not have a cognitive handicap.  Handicapped vans are available for regular school transportation but not for field trips or extracurricular activities.  Other states like Vermont, Maine and Massachusetts offer van conversion grants but not New Hampshire. There are transportation funds and grants but they are for those who are over 18.  Without a wheelchair accessible van Constantine's life is essentially home bound.

Constantine's family has a van that has high mileage and is in need of significant repairs to make it safe.  All of the funds that are raised will be used to help with a down payment to purchase a newer and safer van.  Please consider contributing to this effort to increase the quality of this young man’s life and give him the transportation ability to do the things that all kids his age should be doing.

The fundraiser will be a 10 X 10 square board and each square is $50.  This means that every square is a 1 in 100 chance to win the helmet.  Once the board is filled, a drawing will be held to determine the winner.  For more information or to purchase a square, contact Brian Benard at or via phone (603)540-5779.  Or you can contact Cpl. Pat Wright who works in SHU on 2nd shift.
